NEAL SLAVIN

(b. 1941)

Neal Slavin is a world-respected photographer and film director whose 40+ year career spans celebrity portraits (Spielberg, Ford, Streisand, Collins), a 1993 White House commission to photograph President and Mrs. Clinton for their first official Christmas card, acclaimed photo books (Portugal; When Two or More Are Gathered Together; Britons), and the Arthur Miller–adapted feature Focus (starring William H. Macy and Laura Dern), alongside hundreds of commercials and major media appearances.

His images are held by leading institutions (Met, Pompidou, ICP, National Portrait Gallery, MoCP, and more) and he has exhibited internationally—including a Palais de Tokyo retrospective curated by Robert Delpire—and teaches widely (notably at ICP).
